“on a side note, anyone see Joey Barton on Tevez & Aguero? bribed by Fergie?”

    No.

I don’t suppose you noticed Tevez punching Barton? Or that ugly bastard, Lescott, pushing Barton’s head onto Kompany to make it look like he was headbutting him?

  3. thelowester

Thats as low as you can go i guess.
But whats your beef with “wor Joey”
Guy’s a one off, sometimes more entertaining than the actual game itself.
His tweeting is entertaining, of course a reactionary and moribund FA would’nt agree.
But who gives a toss about them, as they obviously dont give a sh*t about any of us fans.
Lighten up dude, it’s only a game.

  4. When does the new seasons schedule become available?gotta plan what games i can get too.

Hopefull the Olympics will be long gone by then, guess the hustlers, pickpockets and con men are practicing their job skills right now, should be lucrative enough i guess.

  5. WT says:

“I don’t suppose you noticed Tevez punching Barton? Or that ugly bastard, Lescott, pushing Barton’s head onto Kompany to make it look like he was headbutting him?”

Wow poor old Lescott, dont think its his fault maybe a bit of light heartedness is called for ?

“It may feel like the end of the world for Bolton, suffering relegation to the Championship, but spare a thought for poor Icelandic defender Gretar Steinsson. The full-back inadvertently signed a contract until the year 20140, rather than the standard two-year extension he’d planned. “Gretar Steinsson signed a contract at Bolton that lasts – due to an error – for another 18.002 years”

“Papiss Cisse is unofficially joint top scorer with RVP having managed a total of 30 goals this season. 17 at Frieburg and 13 at NUFC. Even his half season total of 13 beat Suarez and Defoe’s full season tallies”

“Dann and Johnson the solid central defensive pairing at Bitmingham City less than three years ago yet both were relegated last season and both are relegated again this season with different clubs”

“Steve “Mrs Doubtfire” Bruce got the Mackems to 10th place last season then got sacked and replaced by miracle worker MON who finished 13th”

  6. BTW is that the Fatman or just a double hired to enable him to spend all his Sunday afternoon in Greggs ?

  7. hahaha Workyticket, watch it again mate, Tevez may have punched him but that doesn’t excuse the elbow, the kick at Aguero and despite what you think about Lescott pushing his head, the attempted headbutt. Watch it again, Lescott doesn’t put and force on the back of his head, that was all Joey. Don’t want to get into a war of words, just giving my opinion. Nothing against you.

Chuck, he’s entertaining, just a disgrace, for all young footballers out there, he’s a terrible role model. I wouldn’t regard him as Wor Joey, never, just calling him Joey’s a stretch.

  8. I don’t think that just ‘cos someone, anyone is in the public eye that that makes them a role model. That’s just a media device.

What is the correct meaning of role model?

  9. Role model Joey ?

“Shearers still on my case…”I know I f**ked up Alan, thanks for stating the obvious,” he wrote on Twitter.

“I have a better hair(which is not hard), wear well better shirts on TV and have a personality (something u lack). I really don’t like that p***k, in fact I honestly despise him…

“I’d take it off Hansen and @GaryLineker but not from that bell, same fella that stamped on Neil Lennon, then threatened FA if they banned him. That he would retire from international football. No sorry, not having him, never have. Selfish, boring man him. He can do one…”

Lineker then leapt to the defence of Shearer, Tweeting at Barton: “Still raging then? Still kicking out? And still, presumably, misunderstood? But only by yourself I suspect.”

But the words only served to inflame the QPR star’s temper, and he threatened Lineker with revelations: “do u wanna go there publicly “Mr Squeaky Clean” ? Think u should have a look in that vast closet of skeltons before u respond… I know a lot about THAT side to u the people don’t and won’t bat an eye lid at exposing u. So mind ur manners Squeaky… now back under your stone you odious little toad…”

  10. He also said he doesn’t like it when Shearer gets personal. Then he goes and starts getting personal with Gary Lineker…

He contradicts himself everyday on twitter. He also regularly tells everyone how he’s matured etc, only to go and do something even more stupid.

He believes he is a smart educated man, when really he’s not.

Some may say at least he has “passion”… Though I wouldn’t call what he did on Sunday passion. The rest of his team mates demonstrated that skill while he was in the dressing room feeling sorry for himself.

I actually doubt he even gave a shit about what he did.

  11. Clint, he actually said himself that he wanted to be a role model for kids after he was released from prison.

Note the things he’s done since then…

  12. On a different tack

Ligue 1 Team of the Season (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Debuchy, Hilton, N’Koulou, Bedimo; Mavuba, Capoue; Hazard, Belhanda, Nene; Giroud.

Hazard looks to be off to the Etihad maybe Debuchy to SJP ? With outsider Belhanda ?

Clint the only Role Models footballers know are how to dive in the box and win a penalty.

the thick F****s unfortunately get the word Role and Roll mixed up. but thats footballers for you.

  15. Jimbob,

don’t know if ya’ can name yourself as a role model either, though i could be wrong!

    :)

  16. Chuck says:

“But whats your beef with “wor Joey””

Good question, Chuck. Never trust anyone who wants you to join a lynch mob.

  17. Soz apparently Hazard has confirmed he’s joining one of the Manchester clubs so not necessarily Citeh ?

  18. Jimbob,
you did make a valid point mate.
Sorry mate i should have said that he ain’t lived up to his own billing like, has he?

He might have been better off just apologizing a la Yohan Cabaye?
Then ‘we’ could maybe deem him/whomever a role model?
I think that’s how it works, hey?
    Got there in the end.
    ;)

  19. Clint, it’s him who spouts he’s a changed man and wants to be a role model. Nobody is saying he should be. Well I’m not anyway.

I think apologies are now futile concerning anything he does now anyway.

  20. He’s a very odd fella is Glenn Roader. He was at Norwich a while back, not sure what keeps him busy these days.

  21. Jimbob says:

“He’s a very odd fella is Glenn Roader”

Dont start JB otherwise WT will give you both barrels of pro Roeder flak :)

  22. Jimbob,

    apologies wouldn’t hurt though.
He seems intent on digging himself a deeper hole, if that’s possible?

  23. WT says:

    “Roeder’s was 45.83% recurring, Pardew’s is 42.42% recurring, Andy”

Not according to .com WT ?

  24. Jimbob says:

“He’s a very odd fella is Glenn Roader.”

You seem to think that everyone’s an odd fella, Jimbob.

  25. “After receiving the honour at the LMA dinner in London tonight he said Newcastle had enjoyed a “special year” and he thanked predecessor Chris Hughton for leaving him a “winning spirit” in the squad”

  26. Isn’t there a club for ‘Oddfellows’?

    Good on Roeder!

    Double manager of the year/season/whatever?

    EeeeK!

  27. Worky,

    Odd and strange :-)

Remember when there was a documentary about football players giving up a days wage for some charity? Can’t remember which one.

They went to Newcastle’s training ground but nobody was there except Roader.

This woman went in his office for a chat and he had peices of A4 stuck to the wall with “It’s Glenn Time” written on them.

    I shit you not.

  28. i heard a few things today.

big rift at the club between Pardew and ahsley/Lambiase
the press are going to run a story.

looks like things might be changing again.

what can they be arguing over? budget? or having to sell your best players.

your guess is as good as mine

Jimbob, Pardew is exactly the same, I shit you not. He’s infamous for sticking up bits of A4 paper all over the place the daftest self help slogans on them. That’s why his nickname used to be “Mr Motivator.”

Maybe the boy is getting above himself after his two awards ? Asking for a raise ?

  31. Twitterings

    “@SuperSportBlitz

“Newcastle manager Alan Pardew admits that Yohan Cabaye & Demba Ba, who have been linked with Arsenal, could leave this summer”

“Pity the poor bastads at Rangers !!”

I’ve written this before, but Fat Freddy and Rangers would be made for each other, Andy. He’s a bigot who doesn’t like “coloured” lasses at all. I’m not sure about his position on “left footers” though.

  33. JB says:

    “Maybe David Pleat AndyMac?”

Laurel and Hardy will need a Chron poll to find out if 98.5% dont want him ?

  34. workyticket says:

“Pity the poor bastads at Rangers !!”

WT I was thinking of the supporters who would hope to see money pouring into the club rather than it being siphoned off !!

  35. Stephen C

Apparently Pardew thanks his players and staff and Derek L. Particularly singles out John Carver. Says loves the North East. “Fabulous city” at LMA awards.

  36. single out?

    is pardew getting jealous?

    they prefer Carver to Pards?

ive got mutual friends of Carver, although ive never met him, they spend time with him and they say he is a very nice guy.

ive always thought of him as a growler, a bit of a bad boy. im not the shouting and screaming type of guy and i could imagine he could be.

but everyone i ask say he is a really decent bloke.

  37. This is how rumours start Stephen !!!

Pardwho singled out Carver not Lamearse :)

Soz the original was a tweet from the Mirrors James Nursey who was at the LMA awards. Doesnt suggest that Pardwho seems particularly at odds with DL

  38. Is that “someone close to Wraith” a dyed in the wool Pardwho supporter like me ? :) or just a mischief maker in the mould of Wor Joey ?

  39. Troy Stavers ‏ @troystavers
@stevewraith Supposed to be a press story breaking this week about a huge bust up between Pards and Ashley/Lambias. Don’t know anymore.

@troystavers @stevewraith this can’t be true though, Colin said they were discussin transfers today hahahaha #colinswordisgospel #toonbound

  40. https://twitter.com/#!/JamesNursey

If you read his tweets it suggests that Pardwho was on top form during his speech at the dinner tonight, cracking jokes and praising Lamearse.

    “@JamesNursey

Pardew delivering a rousing speech here and praises Roy and wishes him well for the Euros. Earlier stressed how much he loves #NUFC”

  41. Actually joking aside there’s a danger that with Pardwho’s recent awards it’ll go to feed his ego which, as everyone knows, is the size of Belgium currently.

It was when the fast cars appeared and the liberties were taken that things started to go pear shaped for him at Wet Spam

  42. Wraith has the right name.
Ya’ know when gardeners are called gardener for eg. couldn’t be more apt.
He’s probably in deep pain after all his back peddling…life sucker!

  43. “The compulsion of the name” as Steckel (and Jung) called it, or far more recently, “nominative determnism,” Clint.

    Have you ever read “Sychronicity”?

  44. I know this is a NUFC blog but I have to say this: Joey for the love of God grow up!!! I read a few of these Blogs every day and there are some heated discussions, but noboby acts like him. He quotes Neitzche and the like but a lot of his tweets end with words like “Muppet”, “Bellend” and “Prick”.

The Fat Man was right. Remember all of the comments about team spirit and togetherness after Barton left. He is obviously the proverbial cancer in the clubhouse.

And whatever he thinks he has on Lineker he should tweet the f*ck up. Couldn’t be any worse than Giggs and he seems to be doing OK.

  45. been thinking now that we are in europe and all, finished in the top half of the table our expectations have increased for next season but we have to make sure that we dont have to high expectations which in the end killed us when we got relegated. what i mean with that is when we qualified for europe we were expecting to be in the champions league after we qualified for it but we qualified for the uefa cup and robson got the sack. cant help but think if we go down that road the past will comeback to haunt us. saying that toon for the Europa league :)

  46. workyticket says:

Almost pre war, never ever heard of them :)

PS When you finally get up and as you’ve got nowt to do all day can you find out what this is all about ?

    http://www.sportspromedia.com/news/new_deal_for_newcastle_after_impressive_season/?utm_source=Feeds&utm_campaign=soccer&utm_medium=rss

Why Puma and why no mention of money ? Seems very odd to me when other clubs are only too keen to tell the world how much their kit deals are worth ?

  47. CLiNT FLiCK says:

    “Worky,
    that’s what i’m talking about.
    Who’s that book by?”

If you meant “Synchronicity,” it was by C.G.Jung, Clint.

  48. Joey ?
We bought him knowing well he was a half assed sociopath, did we not?

So now he proves it and is no longer here , it’s open season on him, with the feeble excuse, he’s no role model for the kiddies.
    Such hypocracy!
Yeah, a lynch mob mentality, but then you guys do it all the time.

  49. As I recall Barton was a Fat Sam redemption project.

Joey doesn’t need a lynch mob he is doing it himself. To mix metaphors, he has dug a hole and now thrown away the shovel and bought a backhoe.

I have read a few recent articles on Barton and he has not been attacked from the angle of being a role model and letting people down. Rather, they have said he is a violent idiot who has let himself down by blowing his last chance at redemption (unless Fat Sam wants another shot).

Mark Hughes had plans to get rid of him anyway but like the fool he is, Joey sealed his own fate.
