Of course, there are lots of NUFC videos on YouTube and the like, but if you seen any by the dynamic duo of Ross and Affy, collectively known as “Gallowgatetoon,” I think you’ll agree that theirs are amongst the very best.
Here’s what they have to say about their work:
“Back in January we set up a joint channel on YouTube (Gallowgatetooners) with the idea that we would work together to produce Newcastle videos. Beyond the obvious season review videos, we didn’t really know what to produce, so we bounced ideas about, and ‘The Goals’ video was conceived, as was the ‘Ben Arfa Wondergoal’ video. We were very surprised by how well the season review videos went down, and all of the feedback gave us a massive boost to continue with what we were doing. (more…)
“Gallowgatetooners” aka Ross & Affy are the best makers of Newcastle United videos, and here’s their latest, “Newcastle United The Goals 11/12.”
Here’s what they say about it:
“Every goal of the 2011/2012 season. A season which produced European football, and a season which re-ignited belief within the fans that maybe, just maybe, silverware might be closer than we think. The 5th place is the highest finish since the era of the great Sir Bobby Robson.”
As a special bonus feature, here’s their version of Hatem Ben Arfa’s superb goal against Bolton too.(more…)
As I reported back in March and April, Reims midfielder, Romain Amalfitano, had signed a pre contract agreement to join Newcastle United on a free transfer when his Reims contract expired.
Well, as you may know already, he’s been in Toon in the last couple of days to make things official, wave a shirt around in front of a camera and such. However, he still not quite a Magpie yet, as his Reims contract doesn’t expire until the 30th June, from which point he will become a Newcastle United player. Going on previous information, it seems that the player has signed a three year contract to play with the Toon.
Congratulations to the Newcastle United youth team players on winning the Hong Kong “Soccer Sevens” seven a side Championship in er, Hong Kong.
It was the first time Magpies had participted in the competition, and after beating Celtic and Blunderland on their path of glory, they triumphed 2-1 over a team of young Aston Villans in the final. Midfielder, Brad Inman, in particular seemed to have a very good game, assisting Adam Campbell’s opening goal for the Mags before banging one in himself.
If you want to see the Toon stars of the future, look no further!(more…)
Newcastle United season review 2011/12 video part one (Part two below).
You tube video masters, Ross & Affy, AKA “Gallowgatetooners1” have asked us if we would be interested in posting their excellent video review of Newcastle United’s 2011/12 season on here and I had no hesitation. I saw the first part a while back and was looking forward to the second part anyway, so here it is!
Finally, for those of you who haven’t read it yet, there is also our very own Jimbob’s also excellent two part review of the season too (see links below).
Many, many thanks to Ross, Affy, Ian and Jimbob for producing such great stuff!(more…)
