  1. Why do we always get the lucky-bag officials when the chips are down.Whistle happy little hitler in the middle and at least one linesman who had been paid off..A disgusting show of officialdom which uefa should be ashamed of. From his first blast, you could see that he was going to be the man or else.
Apart from that, we just were not good enough. too many crucial balls going astray and when oh when is someone going to teach Cisse the F****n off-side rule. Any good work done out there tonight was undone by some real sloppy stuff. Only hope now is that they have to come at us over there and maybe we can nick it, but I now have doubts. Good luck lads cos yr gonna need it . Howaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay the lads.

  2. due to it being the 14th of february i had a slapper round the for a bit dinner.

looks like the right choice was made.

so i said to the milf – do you fancy trying something from the kama sutra?

aye – she said – i’ll have a chicken byriani.

    roll on the second leg…

  3. the officials must have been paid well tonight. they had a 13th man on the pitch tonight! i’m surprised the ref didn’t give them a penalty even those it wasn’t!

  4. at Roy’s shite old joke and Porcie Street’s “whistle happy little Hitler”

It was the bastard with the flag who did all the damage though.

I forgot to mention that I put a link up to ESPN’s online highlights. I’d put them on here but they won’t embed properly.

  5. highlights don’t show the buildup to the first goal so can’t comment on that but for the second it’s the same thing you see a lot: when close, the law tells you to call it for the attacking player. In practice, linesmen almost always call it for the defender. If he says he had no doubt about it, he really shouldn’t be officiating on this level. This is one of several aspects of the offside law about which FIFA needs to be more clear. (I’d also like them to say something about shirt-pulling but that’s another story.)

That said, looks like they might have scored a couple as well so at least they’ve gotten no away goals. I don’t love the idea of needing to win in the Ukraine though. Nope, don’t like that at all.

  6. So what does a still photo prove ?
Is he receiving the ball, did he take a touch before passing, proves nothing.

  7. Instead of moaning about the offside goals, lets take a look at the sitters Cisse missed, the general poor finishing and the snail like pace we adapted, because the other side played that way.
They lulled us into the trap of just playing as if there was nothing at stake, a slow game where they seldom threatened and we relaxed and played a similar game.
There was never any intensity in our game.
Thats a managers job to get a flagging side moving, but it just did’nt happen.
Pardew was out coached once more, with Metalist gaining the draw they came for.
So if you are looking for a goat, dont blame the officials.
But then, it’s always easier, a case where everyone believes what they want, rather than their own eyes, kinda mass hysteria stuff.

  8. worky, i hope he owns up to it, instead of wheeling out the excuses.
he’s ruined his career, when he could have been a living leg-end!
    i’ll get me coat…

  9. I hear you chuck but either way, the goals should have stood. You really can’t argue against that. Put it this way: if I told the assistant that he had a bad night and he replied by pointing out that NUFC had other chances they should have taken I’d tell him to lay off the excuses.

And of course AP got owned by the other manager. I assumed that.

Yes he can tunyc. It’s Chuck and he can argue against absolutely anything!

  11. Hey, i’m only pointing out the fact both goals were offside and we did’nt take the other availble chaces, whats to argue about ?

    Eh?????

“Some may argue, he was onside, but having reviewed both incidents, have to give the linesman credit, but yes they were close.”

And then you referred to ToonArmyElite as “stupid” for his helpful suggestion that you take a trip to Specsavers (or the nearest NYC equivalent), persisting with your argument that both goals were actually offside, and that the linesman was actually a genius for spotting it:

    “Toonarmylite
Give it a rest Pendejo !

“Still photos prove nothing, was that before he received the ball, did he take a touch prior to passing.
One has to watch the moving action to prove anything.”

Some of us did watch the moving action Chuck, that’s why we knew that you were completely wrong (again).

  13. And Chuck, I notice that brilliant Brendan is currently 9th and sinking with Liverpool, and he hasn’t won one of his last five games (three losses and two draws). Even Oldham Athletic beat Liverpool a few games back. Marvellous Martinez is still doing a brilliant job too. Keeping Wigan in the top 19 of the Premiership really is an immense achievement.

  14. Actually i have no real interest in the fortunes of either Wigan or Liverpool, so i have no idea why you would bring up the subject.
Other than i would take either of their managers over Pardew and i suspect you would too.

  15. Anyway dont you think you are being a bit obsessive about what i think, or say ?

Why dont you concentrate on Giving Grumpy some attention, he souded as though he felt ignored, that his interesting pieces were not appreciated.
Well i found them to be, keep up the good work Grumpy.

Actually i did not refer to your friend Armylite as stupid (which he may very well be)
I refered to him as a pubic hair in the area surrounding the anus, sometimes carrying an additional weight.

Just a little quid pro quo.

“Actually i did not refer to your friend Armylite as stupid”

Chuck, if you’re going to insult people in Spanish, I would suggest that you actually learn a bit about the language first before making a fool of yourself. ;-)

  17. I would sugest you do the same, as i suppose you got the
    printable not the idiomatic tranlation.
just as to call someone a Pato (duck) is the asme a calling them a maricon.
But i would’nt expect you to know that.

  18. Well i really must get out and i suggest a few of you do the same,
Beautiful friday evening, time for a stroll and a cople of Amstels.
    Later.

  19. Chuckster. You are barking mad. You never mention Brendan :) :) :) you have a revisionist history sort of thing going on.

I cant even be bothered to talk to you anymore. Because you will just deny you said what you said.

  20. This is so funny. Chuck wants Roberto to suck his balls one day, and then pretends he doesnt know him the next day.

  21. I simply don’t understand how Chuck can defend his saying both goals were offside. I’ll give him the second one was close, maybe slightly offside. But the first one was clearly onside, the left back held him on by a few feet easily.

He is either blind, or simply trying to make people angry on purpose and be the troll on this site. I can’t decide which.

  22. Well, dont quite know what to say, with all the vitriol directed at me, plus the threat of a last warning from Senior Perfecto (another Spanish idiom) for what he did,nt specify.
Not that i give a damn.
This blog, I believe i have contributed a lot too, as far as interesting subjects, humor, etc. since its beginnings.
And to to threaten me with expulsion, well thats all we need here, you can wallow in the awareness of Jack, with the 72 IQ, or Toonarmylite, with his astute comments.
Then there’s Dark Broon, who if he lightens up , can perhaps become Lght Broon.
But do i really care, no!
As far as i’m concerned, Chilito, can besame mi culo.
However i’m curious, anyone who feels my contributions were either interseting or humerous and may regret my leaving the blog, please make it known, even grudgingly.
    Adis muchachos !

  23. Chuck, what do you expect? If you’re directing vitriol at other people you’re going to get it back. If you openly brag about posting nasty personal comments which are deliberately designed to incite the webmaster, they aren’t going to be very pleased about it either.
