  1. Aye 1-1 in the end.

The first band I saw last night were doing some kind of Clash tribute too GS. I remember his funeral well but I can’t believe it was 10 years ago!

  2. Been reported there’s an unsettled dressing room situation, somehow i got that feeling and mentioned it here not so long ago.
    Appers it’s Argentina vs France.

I realise we gave Colo and Jonas new deals recently, despite the fact we could have got a decent price for Colo. who is getting a bit long in the tooth and has lost a step.
Jonas ? who would want an unproductive winger.

And oh! it’s not about loyalty or anything, players in to-days market are no more than commodities, they and their agents have helped that process, but clubs have always thought of them as nothing but.

I see where we once again have unsettled Debuchy, who sez he wants a deal but is afraid he’s going to be hung out to dry again, if he insists.

Alderweireld and Douglas, plus Debuchy, would settle the back four for a while, in fact give us a bit of depth were we to keep Simpson.
Yeah, i know, may as well ask for Ronaldo !

The Remy rumor is sounding more and more like a done deal?
But i cant see Ashley spending fifteen million on anyone,
even if we get 7.5M for Ba.

Seems i’m not the only one who thinks Marveaux is, with a bit of match practice showing us some nice football.
I still cant figure why he’s been on the bench for so long and to get rid of him as a part trade to get Remy, would be a mistake of major proportions.
But with these three genius’s who knows ?
Rather throw in Obertan if it’s absolutely necessary.

Good game to-day between Man. U. and the Swans, with Swansea playing some nice football, but M.U. pressured them in the second half and they were lucky (Swansea) to come out with a point.
Which places them only four points ahead of the Citizens, footsteps ?

The youngish group of managers, Laudrup, Rodgers,Clarke who are all doing well, though Lambert at Villa and Martinez are under pressure, but will i believe survive
    relegation.

One final note, it;s been revieled that Pardews contract, though supposedly for eight years, is no different than an annual rolling contract, well actually, if fired he gets one years wages.
Which when done, was to possibly to dissuade him from accepting the Engerland job.
As if anyone in their right mind would be crazy enough to make the offer.
Which shows you how much Ashley understands about the game and at the same time, shows how much he actually cares about Pardew, with such a one way contract, plus how grateful Pardew is for his job.

  3. Goal 500 from Lampart, well done !
Plus a fabulous goal earlier from the head of Torres and i dont throw accolades like fabulous around often.

  4. 8-0, how about Benitez? Roman wants Pardiola and has built the team to suit, so he should be available at the end of the year.

I know, Ashley wouldn’t stump up the cash. But why not, Rafa has won things unlike all of the other managers he has appointed, including Keegan?

  5. Worky you bastad, I meant to say Guardiola @5 and you got me so used to seeing Pardiola I put that instead :)

That was just Anal Oliver speculating in the People, same as I did when it happened. It’s not a “revelation” it’s just what we call “stating the bloomin’ obvious” over here in Blighty. Ashley probably made the same mistake as GS, and thought that someone like Abramovich (or England) was trying to poach him, Carr and Carver and pay them better salaries than they’re getting at Newcastle. If this was the case, a greedy animal like Ashley would want a lever so he could get maximum compen.

“Been reported there’s an unsettled dressing room situation, somehow i got that feeling and mentioned it here not so long ago.

That was Supermac doing the same thing as Anal after watching the club’s disjointed performances this season, though his point about a possible Franco-Latin divide is slightly more interesting I suppose.

“Goal 500 from Lampart, well done !”

I don’t know who this Lampart chap is, if you mean Frank Lampard, he’s scored more like 200-250 goals so far.

  7. Workey sez
…….. Ashley probably made the same mistake as GS and probably thought someone like Abramovich (or England)was trying to poach him Carr and Carver and pay them better salaries than they’re getting at Newcastle…..

The better salaries i can believe, the rest, not even close.
Though i can see where some could have been fooled by news reports and the fact Pardew won the poisoned chalice award.
I’m thinking that could have been his career all time high.

  8. Just reading where the NRA head Wayne LaPierre, has instead of having anything to do with banning assault rifles, has instead called for armed guards in schools.
    Only in America !
Think about it, if you hire the same quality of people that currently work as airline security people, cause they certainly aint gonna pay them much.
Theres probably more chance they will be shooting the kids.
And think of the amount of guns out there if every school in the country has at least one armed guard.
    It belies belief.
But this f…ing guy is serious.

The Chelsea one was a joke of course and he isn’t going to get the England job either, though they were talking about him being an England manager for a while, as they have about alot of other flash in the pans in the past

Hughton actually has a much better chance of being an England manager of the future. Actually, he’s an England manager waiting to happen. Where Pardew’s gob is a minefield, Hughton’s behaviour is absolutely impeccable at all times. Also, the old blazers at the FA can slap each other on the back at how PC and progressive they are for appointing the first black manager of the England men’s team, though the England lasses have had one for some time (Hope Powell). The final small detail of course is that unlike Pardew, he’s actually a good manager.

Remember where you read it first. ;-)

Chuck, it’s no surprise that the leader of the National Small Penis Association has said that. They’ve said stuff like that before and they can’t really say anything else if they’re going to come out fighting, which you knew they would.

I checked out Lampard’s stats too and watched “Match of the Day” where they mentioned it. He’s made almost 800 appearences, and well over 500 League appearences. It was his 500th Premiership appearence.

  10. Workey
I believe it may be more likely Hughton, would be a candidate for the Irish Republic’s side.
After all he did play for them and who is better versed in the knowledge of Irish players in both top divisions.
The fact the side is not doing that well, though they like Celtic of late tend to punch above their weight.
Plus Trapattoni’s age and the fact he really is unaware of who might be qualified to play for them, appears his time could be coming to a close.
Be a great job for hughton.
