Mags v Tangerines. Promotion is won now, but there is still the matter of the Football League Championship to consider as Blackpool visit St James’s Park this afternoon. Of course, Ian Holloway’s ‘Tangerines’ were one of only four teams to beat us this season, the others being Nottingham Forest, Scunthorpe and Derby. We had our revenge on Nottingham Forest and Scunthorpe, with a 0-0 draw preceding the Derby defeat, so, Blackpool could be the last team to ‘do the double’ over us. They certainly have the motivation to do it as Blackpool, currently seventh in the Championship have their own eyes on promotion, and a good end of the season could lead to a playoff spot for them.
