In the wake of his signing a new extension on his contract, Magpies’ captain, Jamaal Lascelles severely damaged his reputation among fans, along with half the population of the world when he stated that Football is “a man’s game.” For this piece though, I will concentrate on his comments about Mike Ashley and the fans as this is a Newcastle United ‘blog, rather than a specialist on feminist issues!

The Magpies were beaten 2-0 at home by Leicester City last weekend, with goals by Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire keeping Rafa Benitez’s side in the bottom three.
Newcastle have scored just four times so far this season and a long battle against relegation is beginning to look likely.
The visitors will be without both Florian Lejeune and Salomon Rondon through injury, but Paul Dummett and Federico Fernandez should be available after the pair missed the Leicester defeat. (more…)
