  1. I’m actually surprised there are any highlights, to one of the least entertaining games i have ever watched.

I have seen more entertaining games played by school sides and the Sunday morning warriors in the day.

When you could have your choice of two or three games, being played similtaniously, by guys who under the right conditions couldda beeen playing as professionals.
    ah well !

  2. Thanks for the highlights, I wasn’t able to see the game.

Chuck seems to be picking a fight with himself. Nobody is questioning his assessment and he is still on a rant :)

  3. Think highlights is the wrong word, other than Anita’s volley, how Waddle made the toon the better team is beyond me, and then to say Shola was a constant threat, convinced me that I did not watch the game. OK I just do not like Shola as a footballer, woops used the word footballer – apologies, I am so sick of seeing him give away petty fouls in the box, trotting towards a player , then not challenging him, caught off side more times than not, sorry but he is just not my cup of tea.
Can you please find another word because highlights is not the right one.

  4. But, judging by the reports and the fact we went 2 goals down, it appears we had yet another slow start. This is getting to be more than a pattern, it is a habit.

It goes back to a few games last year – Spurs and Wigan come to mind.

  5. Been saying that for along time, Shola is one of our most under-rated players.
A guy who’s good in the air, can hold up the ball, can lay on the perfect pass and who has a sense of being in the right position, plus gets his fair share of goals.
Though he’s never been given steady starting roles.
Hell the guy just got picked for international duty at what is he 30/31, doesnt seem that long since he was a 19year old novice.
Plus he plays a great second striker role, with either Cisse or Ba, which neither of those two seem able to accomplish.
I have said it’s about how he moves, gives the appearance of a languid style, that appears to give fans the idea he is not giving his all, Berbatov has also had his critics in that regard, even Asprilla had that same,
long what appeared to be a loping gait, though seldom drew the crowds displeasure.
So lighten up on him, after all he’s one of the few Geordies in the side.

    “So lighten up on him”

Physician heal thyself Chuck. Lighten up on Iron Mike, the Beckenbauer of Benton too.

  7. There’s a geneticist on the TV saying that despite the DNA of humans and chimpanzees being 98-99% the same, there’s no way you’d ever mistake a human for a chimpanzee. He’s obviously never heard of Peter Reid!

  8. Yes it is picking up over here, but i can only thank you guys for posting a link to watch it. thanks again

  9. Workt
I would be be more than willing to ascribe something positive about Williamson, if something positive ever accurs.
Look at the highlights of both Brugge goals and tell me (the right side CD) where was he ?
It’s about time you faced reality instead of continuing to defend this hapless defender and i’m not the only one who thinks so.
Though you may be the only one now defending him.
Oh ! sorry, thats you and Pardew.
