The game will kick of at 7.30pm local time (12.30pm UK time) so be ready!
Hopefully, the lads will perform better than they did against Orlando City, and not lose any more key players like Hatem Ben Arfa for the upcoming Premier League season.
Newcastle United manager, Alan Pardew’s pre match interview for the game is available for your viewing and listening pleasure below to get you in the mood for the match.
There is also a preview of the game from Colombus’s point of view available on the club’s site, entitled ‘Who is [sic] Newcastle United?‘
Newcastle’s squad for the game will be:
Goalkeepers: Steve Harper, Fraser Forster, Tim Krul.

A few facts about the Columbus Crew.
-
The Columbus Crew are from Columbus, Ohio, in the Mid West of the United States and are currently top of Major League Soccer’s ‘Eastern Conference’, having come second in the previous season.
They play at the 20,455 capacity Columbus Crew Stadium and are owned by Clark Hunt, who also owns another Major League Soccer team, FC Dallas, as well as American Football team, the Kanasas City Chiefs.
Their manager or ‘Head Coach’ is ex Everton an Poland International, Robert Warzycha. Warzycha has been with the club for quite some time, having played with them from 1996 and 2002, becoming an Assistant Coach in 2003, eventually taking over as Head Coach in 2009.
Their leading goalscorer of the season so far is Andres ‘el Condor’ Mendoza from Peru with seven goals so far. He has no less than 44 International caps with Peru, and seems to have played for more clubs around the world than I’ve had hot dinners!
Their website seems to be much better than Newcastle United’s miserable effort!
Howay the lads!
Woo hoo! More soccerrrrr…
I’d like to see some creativeness in the creative ability department but I’d settle for any result coupled with zero injuries.
