“Everything is still up in the air in regards a new manager and the possible new ownership, but I am only focusing on pre-season training”.
He then went on to talk about his chances for moving up in the Newcastle hierarchy of players, despite his caps at all levels with Northern Ireland, he is yet to figure in United’s first team. He said:
“I will be working hard and hoping to push my way into both the reserve and first teams.
“To be honest it was not a hard decision for me to stay at Newcastle because we are a big club.
“Although we were relegated to the Championship, I feel the younger players like myself may be given a chance because of it.”
He also had a few words to say about his fellow Irish teammate, Michael McCrudden, the versatile forward / winger who will also be staying at Newcastle. (more…)
