Good afternoon and welcome to our “match banter” feature for yet another home game, this time against eleventh placed side, Swansea City.

Newcastle United’s Silver Supremo, Alan Partridge Pardew will be looking to “bounce back” after a disappointing home loss against Big Sam’s West Ham last Sunday. Here’s hoping that he does as two home defeats in a row would not be good. Here’s hoping that this game will be more entertaing too, as our last game most certainly wasn’t!

One thing which should give us hope is that Swansea have been a little erratic in the Premiership after their exhilarating start to the season with a 5-0 defeat of Queens Park Rangers, followed by a 3-0 defeat of the abovementioned West Ham. Since then they have won only one one Premiership game, a 2-1 defeat of Wigan, though they have turned in some excellent performances against the likes of Chelsea for a 1-1 draw, as well as turning in another excellent performance to knock holders Liverpool out of the League Cup. But anyway, for all the pre match stuff you may wish to know such as team news, possible tactics and much, much more, may I recommend checking out my extensive match preview. (more…)
