Manchester United v Newcastle United.
Two teams needing to bounce back.
Newcastle United will bid to return to form when they visit Manchester United on November 18.

After a promising start to the season the Magpies have gone off the boil in their last two games, recording 1-0 defeats against Burnley and Bournemouth.

Their last victory was a 1-0 success at home to Crystal Palace during October, but they are likely to find Jose Mourinho’s side in a fired-up mood at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils’ 1-0 defeat at Chelsea in their last match was just their second reverse of the season and it left them eight points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Newcastle are currently 11th in the table, but with just five points between them and 18th-placed West Ham United they will be eager to pick up a positive result at Old Trafford.

However, Newcastle have won just one of their last nine meetings in all competitions against Man Utd and bookmakers don’t fancy their chances of improving that record when the teams next meet.

The home side are priced at 1/4 to win the game, with Newcastle on offer at 11/1 and the draw available at 4/1. Check out this casino bonus online to boost your bankroll before wagering on the game.

Newcastle’s last success at Old Trafford was a 1-0 win back in 2013 and they are 25/1 to match that feat and spring a massive surprise this time around.

Mikel Merino was Newcastle’s goalscorer in their victory over Palace during October and the midfielder may be worth an interest at 9/1 to add to his tally at Old Trafford.

The visitors secured a 0-0 draw on their last trip to face United during the 2015/16, but odds of 12/1 for a repeat scoreline seem on the short side with Mourinho’s side eager to prove a point.

Rafa Benitez’s team have struggled for goals this season and the 10/11 for Man Utd to win to nil looks a solid wager.

The eight point gap to Man City leaves United with little room for manouevre in this season’s title race and Mourinho will undoubtedly insist his players show they are genuine contenders against Newcastle.

After a goal-packed start to the season, striker Romelu Lukaku has failed to score in his last four Premier League games and is priced at 21/10 to grab the opener against the Magpies.

It’s difficult to see the visitors taking anything from this game, so the 15/8 on offer for Man Utd to win both halves looks the call in this one.
