The pictures above and below are what should be the new home and third kits for the 2012/13 season.

Of course, the Burgundyish away shirt is already out. But getting back to these two, it won’t really be great news for some, as these are the same as the ones we posted way back in January. The only difference being the change of shirt sponsor from “Northern Rock” in January to “Virgin Money” as it is now, though there is no sponsor displayed on these photos.

Competition – Win a Newcastle United away shirt!

Thanks to our friends at Idealo.co.uk, we are able to offer you a new Newcastle United away shirt in our latest competition.

As with our usual prediction competition, the prize is only open to registered users of the site, but if you aren’t yet a registered member, never fear! It only takes seconds to join. Just click on the “Register” link in the login section of the site (right hand side) and follow the instructions from there.

The competition will be in two parts: The first part will be here with a follow up post tomorrow. All you have to do is answer the fairly simple question below, then answer the second question in tomorrow’s post.

When you’ve done this, simply post the answers to us using our contact form also stating your registered username on the site.

When the competition is over, the ones with correct answers will be put into a pot, or, using the wonders of modern technology, a digital “pot”, and the winner will be selected at random. We will then announce the winner in a third post in a few days and if it’s you, you can then send us your delivery name, delivery address, your username (again) and shirt size. For security purposes, please use the same e.mail address as the one you used to answer the questions.

So, without further ado, here is the first question!

What was Newcastle United’s highest ever points total in the Premiership, and in what season did they achieve it?

  1. Not happy at all. Colours are ok. Strips are what were leaked but……….black cat on the ARM of the green kit. Does ashley expect to sell any?

    Bit too much white for me.

  5. unusual stuff going on with the stripes near the bottom of the shirt, wouldn’t mind seeing a gold number and name on the back since they went for the gold cat again

  6. I’ll stick with my Shaka Hislop goalie top (tyne bridge on red background & blue star logo) – the best I’ve ever seen !

    I heard very early August for the home one, Chris. It isn’t out yet, just the burgundy coloured away one so far.

  10. That’s the nicest home kit for awhile, except for thoses silly spikes. Will look good when the lads are wearing black shorts and black socks

  12. Apparently this is a fake – that’s not Newcastle’s new strip, the original strip for a German team looks exactly the same but with yellow instead of white, they’ve just changed the colours and the logos
