  1. Pardew’s blamed himself in the aftermath of that shambles. Every player on the pitch for us today was shite, couldn’t even pass the ball to each other. Though you can blame the set up and tactics of Pardew, you gotta look at the fact it doesn’t matter what formation you play, if the players on the pitch cannot even do the basics. Our defence was awful, Williamson and Simpson are just not good enough. Tottenham did there homework, and exposed our weakness very well.

I can take defeat today, didn’t expect anything, but can’t accept the performance. I wish the Wolves game was next week to get this out of my head! We still have a great chance of Europe, and looking at our fixture list we have a great chance of getting a spot in the top six.

  2. hahahhahahhahhahahahhahahhahahhahhahhahhahahhahahahhahahhahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahhahahhahahhahahahhahahahahhahhahhahahhahahhahhahahhhahahhahahhahahhahhahahahhahahhahahhahhahhahhahahhahahahhahahhahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahhahahhahahhahahahhahahahahhahhahhahahhahahhahhahahhhaahhahahhahhahahahhahahhahahhahhahhahhahahhahahahhahahhahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahhahahhahahhahahahhahahahahhahhahhahahhahahhahhahahhhahahahhahahhahhahahahhahahhahahhahhahhahhahahhahahahhahahhahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahhahahhahahhahahahhahahahahhahhahhahahhahahhahhahahhhahahahhahahhahhahahahhahahhahahhahhahhahhahahhahahahhahahhahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahhahahhahahhahahahhahahahahhahhahhahahhahahhahhahahhha coys

  3. The only highlight for me was that i didn’t watch it!!! and i’m not answering the phone either… pah

  4. “we’re geordies, we’re flippin ace – tottenham are a small club blah blah blah”

er… didn’t quite look that way today did it you divs

    coys

  5. Zab, by all accounts spurs were sublime today!! only to be let down by window licking mongs like you…

  6. nice to a true spurs fan putting a leash on some deluded glory hunter spur fan cheers for subz00 :P

  7. Today’s field trip in Pardew’s “little project” sends him back to the drawing board for a serious re-think. We came hopelessly unstuck and it was very, very, very difficult and painful to watch.

  8. Our wingers are useless today! I feel our best formation is to play a narrow diamond. Arfa on top, Cabaye and guthrie/Raylor in the middle and Tiote sitting behind.

  9. therz only 1 person to blame today and that is AMEOBI!!!, why didn’t he cum on & score two hat-tricks, sorry just had to blame him forsomething or another:-)

  10. I blame the loss of our 5th spot on 5under1and who deliberately lost at home to Arsenal so they would overtake us!
And I suppose Spurs being a much better side than us also had a lot to do with it.

  11. I suppose there’s not much chance of Pardew replacing Harry at Spurs now – every cloud has a black lineing

  12. What Newcastle team was ever going to win or draw with Perch in the starting side? Gosling would have played role than Perch ever would… Disapointing selection for me.

  13. how good were spurs the neet like??? it was like watching KK’s team of old! & it’s a good job they took the foot off the pedal in the second half or it could’a been double figures without doubt.

i’ll never know in a million years how were 5th in the league with some of the stuff witnessed this season mind – it just doesn’t make any sense.

the trouble with AP is he only seems able to set a team up from the start of a game (very wrong the neet like) & if/when things go wrong he aint got any idea how to change things.

    maybe i’m wrong & it’s just that he’s a genius!

“What Newcastle team was ever going to win or draw with Perch in the starting side?”

The one that beat Aston Villa last week with Perch in the starting side Matt?

Roy, Remember Hull in third and the calls to make Phil Brown England manager? Or Monkeyheed getting Sunderland promoted then immediately competing for Europe and coming seventh? And lots of other examples…

    It’s a fanny old game.

  16. Prediction scores are updated.

I divven’t knaa why the Swansea – Norwich game wasn’t there, Hugh’s the organgrinder and I’m just the monkey who’s looking after things while he’s on holiday.

  17. watched it and looked like 80’s football with fast running wingers roasting the back 4 and whipping in pinged crosses and then wrongfooting with pin poit shots at close range , first goal was brilliant gotto say , we are not 5th material lucky if we stay in top 8 …

  18. We lost to probably the best and most stylish football team in the league, who are still in with a good chance of winning the Premier League.

After the court case and the resignation of Capello I just knew there would be a reaction from Spurs against whoever turned up. It was misfortune we turned up.

Whilst the score line is bad the stats from Sky paint a different picture. They had only 7 shots on target and we had 3. They had 2 blocked shots and we had 2 blocked shots. The possession is interesting in that they scored 4 with first half possession of 57% but only scored 1 with 72% in the second half.

Possibly the only good thing to come out of the match is that this could be the last time we face ‘Arry’. It’s odds on there will be a new manager at Spurs next season.

And, it hasn’t any bearing on our fight against relegation which so many had predicted at the start of the season.

I’m just waiting to see whether the perennial doom mongers, who always used to predict our relegation whenever we lost heavily, will now moan that we have sunk to 6th and may miss out on Champions League.

    How times have changed.

  19. Did we have a bad game ?
Did we have a crap side out there ?
    If so why ?
    Due to Pardew ?
Due to having no depth ?
Due to having two Big Strikers hanging around up front ?
Due to Pardews one tactic fits all sides and all games and inability to either recognize he is being outclassed in a tactical sense, or having a clue what to do about it.
Say there’s hope that if Arry takes the Engerland gig that Spurs will make the swoop for Pardew.
See our Ex manager is doing a nice job at Birmingham, with the same lack of funds plus a lack of real quality, give the man some credit!

“Say there’s hope that if Arry takes the Engerland gig that Spurs will make the swoop for Pardew.”

Though it’s a distict possibilty that the first thing could happen, there’s hardly any chance whatsoever of the second thing happening.
